My name is Philip Floor and I am very excited to have the opportunity to teach your child this year. I am a graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia, "Go Wolves", and have just started my Masters of Education with a concentration in Elementary Mathematics program at Georgia State University, "Go Panthers". I have loved every second I have spent in the classroom in preparations for becoming a certified teacher as well as all the wonderful times I had in my first two years of teaching. I am looking forward to all the wonderful moments that will be created in the future to come. The past two years, I taught in a 3rd grade math, science, and writing class that brought out my true passion for teaching. I am a big believer in hands-on, energetic learning and that is what you will find when entering my classroom. All of the subjects I teach are laid out in a centers format so students have the opportunity for small group instruction with me as well as hands-on discovery to make connections of their own to the course material. This year, I have the wonderful opportunity of teaching in the 5th grade. I will be teaching math and science to my class and Mrs. Wilkin's class in efforts to further students' understandings and passions for the subjects. I will also be teaching writing to my homeroom only. I am very excited about this year and if you have any questions feel free to contact me.
